If you have ever gone fishing, you know that there is no catch without first casting. When fishing, as you cast, there becomes a potential to increase.
As a Christian living a Kingdom life, it actually works much the same. As you cast the cares, you create the environment of growth and increase. You are told in the Word, to cast every care. You are not created to carry the load of life; but instead, to cast it over onto the only one that can. Actually, every weight of life has been fully carried and hung on the cross so as you cast it off, you are receiving what Jesus gave His life for.
You must realize that carrying creates a drag, while casting lightens you up to go forth towards your full potential.
Today you must make the decision to cast off that which has been trying to slow you down.
Life has the potential for curves and pot holes and detours, but it’s up to you how you handle them.
So together let’s start casting and reeling in the greatest prize catch ever!

Teach people HOW to “cast”– instead of telling them to cast, help them understand HOW. much of today’s preaching and preaching simply tells people WHAT to do and not HOW that’s done. Just a thought
Hey Jimmy, THANK YOU, you are so right! I never want to leave the boat at the dock but instead give my readers the full journey.
The only way to cast, is to get your eyes off the problem first. What we focus on becomes a part of us, good or bad. As we do what the Word says about seeking first the Kingdom then that becomes a part of us and the same is true anything else. If I spend my time focusing on the problem then I take the weight of the problem and then that steals away the victory that Christ purchased for us through the cross.
Another part of casting after getting our eyes of the problem is receiving what Jesus did. We speak about faith and we MUST have it but we also must have trust. Faith is the belief in what has been done but trust is the action the moves us forward beyond it. The three man at the fiery furnace had faith in God but also trust that no matter what that God would take care of them!
And then we must rejoice and give Him thanks for the completed work no matter if we see it right then or not. I was reading Luke 17 this AM about the 10 lepers and how only one gave thanks. I see this in my travels how much of the time we rejoice in the instant but waiver on the not so instant.
I could keep going on about this and will as the Lord leads in my upcoming post. I do hope this helps!

Thank you for sharing and encouraging us to bring every care to the feet of Jesus and let him take care of it, instead of trying to carry and figure out life’s challenges on our own. I’m reminded of Phil 4:6-8, which is a classic example of how we cast our cares onto Jesus! Thank you, and God bless you!
